The Greek-French School Ursulines, a member of a global organisation, is a School of Principles — internationally minded and open to all, regardless of nationality, social background, or religious belief.

Students are encouraged to participate actively and freely in the learning process. Responsibility and respect for ourselves, for others and a strong educational ethos characterise the school's course, making our lasting imprint in the field of education.

Belief in each child’s potential and the commitment to discovering and developing it, the pursuit of students’ happiness and success, and the spirit of innovation in education — combined with availability, dedication, and love for the child — shape the School’s identity.

We focus on preparing our students to become dynamic and responsible citizens of Greece, Europe, and the world — protagonists of both today and tomorrow.

We collaborate with other Schools and Universities of the Organisation around the world, with internationally renowned institutions, as well as with distinguished figures from all fields of human endeavour, in order to inspire our students.

We work in a spirit of teamwork, investing in our teachers and staff and supporting their ongoing development.

We stand by our students, our colleagues, parents, alumni, and friends of the School.

With the valuable legacy and principles of our founders as a solid foundation, we embrace the latest advances in pedagogy and science, continuing to innovate and evolve — with our eyes firmly set on the future!

The Ursulines Around the World “Be active, redouble your efforts, believe, hope, and pray to God with all your heart...” Faithful to the words of their Foundress, the Ursuline Sisters continue to respond to the Lord’s call, serving others through education and charitable work.  LEARN MORE

The Ursulines in Greece
Their mission: Education!
Today, the Greek-French School Ursulines — comprising a Kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School, and High School for both boys and girls — proudly carries the responsibility of a three-hundred-year tradition in the education of Greek children.
The Cradle of the Ursulines in Greece: Naxos In 1630, the Jesuit monks, having already established a school for boys on the island, invited the Ursuline Sisters to create a school for girls. Thus, under the guidance of the Jesuits and with the protection of France, the Ursulines founded their monastery in Naxos in 1670 and began their educational mission.
